Some more Dubai Pics

Dubai holiday was one of my most memorable trips with my toddler, Adi!

Bringing you some more Dubai pics.

In this pic below, you will find Jyotiraditya gearing up to raid the Disney toy store. Do you see the enthusiasm with which he's all set?




Levels of enthusiasm tend to dip when its time for Adi to eat....hmm! Unless its french fries, fried chicken or sausage.


Adi liked the French toast.


Adi loved the desert safari like anything as you can see below. When Adi insisted on doing this, I was really frightened that he'd get hurt. I kept telling him not to do this but he was insisting and well, the rest - you can see it for yourself. I was so frightened the bird would claw at him or something. They looked at peace with each other, thank God.

I love his stance in front of the toys! He is adorable. I think he is very smart, and I love that he is so adventurous. Every kid should have it.

@Rohini - Thanks, he frightens me with such naughtiness. I keep fearing for his safety but I too believe that today's kids shouldn't be strapped to mother's apron. Some level of independent decision making at an early age will prepare them to face the competitive rollercoaster ride in their personal and professional lives.

Saree Woes 2

Our earlier discussion on Saree Woes really perked up my spirits. A big thanks to all of you for pepping me up. Okay, here's the good news. There was an unexpected late night party that I had to attend in Gurgaon. To be honest, I haven't had the time or energy to attend any such parties after Adi was born. Khan Market is one of my favorite places, not only because it is a place where stories can be plucked from people's conversations and mannerisms but this is an amazing hub for food lovers. You can find all types of food that is sure to appeal to your sense of taste. Here is a yummy walnut cake from Sugar&Spice. From the moment you enter their store, you will find yourself bumping into either foreigners looking through different types of cheese (Belgian, French, Danish etc) or Indians who pretend to be just like the foreigners wearing those outrageously expensive 'phoren' perfumes and even sounding like them! God, when will we learn to respect being us, I really don't know, but I couldn't resist this walnut cake. Best time to light diya

Want to know when is the best time to light diya or deepam at home? In most Hindu homes, 'deepam' or 'diya' is lit at least twice - once in the morning and then in the evening.
