Lots of Travel, Lots of Fun

The unexpected is always more fun. Lots of travel in 2014 - this is not something I had expected because of the water tight, hectic schedule that is a part of my life. Like a bolt from the blue, travel simply happened...just like that. And the best part of my trip to Sydney is that I am getting lots of time to spend and enjoy with my nephew Vihaan, whom I have just seen fleetingly across the last few years. This isn't a guilt trip. It's an unexpected gift from God, bringing me lots of happiness and love. Thank you, God and dear Angels. And I am loving every minute, as if it's a delicious feast to savor.

Bye bye 2012: Looking back with Gratitude to God and Guru

Bye bye 2012. I am grateful to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba , my beloved lord, guru and best friend, for all His love and blessings throughout the year. I offer my humble pranams  to Bhagawan for His love, constant presence and protection in my life and for my family members. I am equally grateful to you, Bhagawan, for the wonderful friends you have brought into my life at the right time and the many ways in which you are taking care of me and my family. The year 2o12 also marks my 25th year at the lotus feet of Bhagawan Baba.  Bye bye 2012, Welcome 2013 Many things make 2012 one of the happiest years in my personal life. My husband's law firm Axess Legal Corp opened its second office at Lajpat Nagar in May 2012.  This is also the year I visited many new places that I hadn't visited before: Ooty, Gavi, Coonoor, Manali, Pune, Hrishikesh, Haridwar. These trips are far more precious and priceless to me because those I love and respect and revere were with ...

Some more Dubai Pics

Dubai holiday was one of my most memorable trips with my toddler, Adi!                                           [Image by Abhijith Mohandas on Unsplash] Bringing you some more Dubai pics. In this pic below, you will find Jyotiraditya gearing up to raid the Disney toy store. Do you see the enthusiasm with which he's all set? Levels of enthusiasm tend to dip when its time for Adi to eat....hmm! Unless its french fries, fried chicken or sausage. Adi liked the French toast. Adi loved the desert safari like anything as you can see below. When Adi insisted on doing this, I was really frightened that he'd get hurt. I kept telling him not to do this but he was insisting and well, the rest - you can see it for yourself. I was so frightened the bird would claw at him or something. They looked at peace with each other, thank God. What has been your most memorable family holi...

Dubai - Am Back after 15 years

Back in Dubai! When I was born, my father said, "This is my dream girl." The best part about my childhood was in knowing that.                                 [Image: Ling Tang On Unsplash.com]  Is Dubai so expensive? This is a frequently asked question. When we were travelling to Dubai in the 80s, it was quite expensive. My dad used to travel a lot and always took us with him. While most people dream of visiting the top league touristy destinations, my dad looked for any place that caught his curiosity. Having began his medical career in Iran, he was always drawn to the Middle East. If there was any place where he couldn't take us to, he would ask what we wanted and even when he didn't have enough money, he'd get it for me and my sister. We looked forward to those trips more because it meant we got lots of stuff as gifts from him!!! A doctor by profession, there was no real scope for Dad to travel a l...

On the way...a dash of fun

This October, my parents had taken me to Guruvayoor Temple as it had been three years since I went there. I love going there. On our way back, we were really tired and we stopped at a small teashop to have tea and pazhamporis. It was yummy. The tea shop overlooked the waters and there were chinese nets all around. Some fishermen were in their canoes, waiting for some fresh catch. I showed Adi how beautiful it all looked and he was so fascinated, seeing so much water around.  He didn't want to come away and I was tired but excited to see my little boy's joy too.  Here are some old posts: Parents are Love It's Rainy...What Would You Eat?
