Which is the best month to visit Sikkim?
We visited Sikkim in the month of June. We absolutely loved the weather too. It was pleasant and cool. Early drizzles in the mornings and evenings lent a dreamy feel to the magical place.

How many days are enough for Sikkim travel?
Everyone recommends at least two weeks to explore this beautiful place that I cannot find words to describe. I would recommend the same too as I had headed off to Sikkim for a four day trip. I wish I had more days to explore and enjoy the scenic splendour and not have had to rush through it all. So, if you are planning a trip to Sikkim, make sure you have at least two weeks.
Is Sikkim better or Shillong?
I would absolutely trust my travel experiences in Sikkim and say that it has the best weather for you.
Is alcohol allowed in Sikkim?
I have heard that it is available and quite cheap. However, I don't drink or buy alcohol so you may want to check this with people who have bought it or gone to Sikkim and had a great time chilling out.
Is Sikkim safe for girls?
One of the things I loved about Sikkim is that it is totally safe for women and girls. You can wear anything and no one stares at you or leers in your direction. The cab guys, the men on the street or the old men - they don't leer, stare or make you feel uncomfortable at all.
Besides, from all my conversations with guides and local people, girls and women in Sikkim enjoy freedom to the extent that even their male family members do not restrict them or try to preach to them.
Simply, put - Sikkim is a dream destination.
Girls and women are respected by men.
They are free to make their own choices and live their own life and dress in whatever way they want.
That, dear friend, is my kind of paradise!
My Sikkim travel: Day One
Just as a shop next door was about to shut, I rushed to a bakery located next to our hotel. I bought some fresh bread and pastries just in case the restaurant in our hotel had shut its kitchen early. Thankfully, this didn't happen but we munched on the yummy pastries and bread anyway after a delicious supper that was served at the restaurant. [DO read: Mithaiwale in Pune!]
We settled into our cozy room. It was past nine o clock in the night but the view from my window left me spell bound.
It was so quiet.
A thousand stars seemed to shine their light on me. Whenever anyone talks about Sikkim travel, I am reminded me of dazzling star light and cloud-kissed mountain views.
The warmest moments, like butter toast sprinkled with sugar, pops up.
Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim. Don't miss out on exploring its Buddhist monasteries and the famous rope way.
Sikkim is pure magic and much more.
Fresh air.
Piping hot food.
Happy smiling faces.
Warm hospitality.
Spell binding mountain views.
Cute looking monks in maroon robes.
