How can we decorate our home on Diwali? This is a question I ask myself everytime Diwali is around the corner and I would see neighbours and friends gear up to go shopping, not just to buy gifts for loved ones, but also for decoration items as part of Diwali celebrations. This is how I decorated my home this Diwali.  Look closely. You will observe that I didn't do anything elaborate or expensive. First, arrange gel-based candle tealights on the coffee table.  Arrange flowers around the table. The festive month of October seems to be flying past so fast that I feel almost breathless. This Diwali, I celebrated in my new home and it felt great though it heaped upon me many new challenges. But the best part is when my closest friend Millie and her family came over to spend Diwali with us. Given the fact that decorating on festive occasions somehow doesn't interest me, Millie brought diyas and fresh flowers to decorate our place and her daughter Anushka decorated it so well that it brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart.  Seriously, the things that best friends do for each other - we can't ever understand it logically, can we?
