Amazing Signs You are an Earth Angel

Doreen Virtue’s book, “Assertiveness for Earth Angels” brings to life the reality of Earth Angels in very easy way. It’s an exciting must-read!

[DO READ: The POWER OF LOVE]

Earth Angels have amazing superpowers in:
  1. Music
  2. Arts
  3. Writing
  4. Healing
  5. Manifesting miracles for others such as controlling weather conditions and  becoming invisible at will.

How to Identify Earth Angels by their Traits

To know whether you are an Earth Angel, take a look at their known traits that are explained in this book:

  • You have a graceful and compassionate aura that inspires people. Your presence “lifts” everyone to happier spirits – it is proof of who you really are.
  • You don’t judge others but you overdo the “acceptance” bit. So, you tolerate even those who show no respect for boundaries.
  • You cannot stand anyone suffering or being in pain. You are constantly “rescuing people” because it is in your nature to want to see everyone happy in this world. But you also attract many “professional victims” – those who take advantage of this.
  • You are conflict-phobic. You cower before an angry person. You will do everything possible to avoid a conflict or confrontation. This is because you want to experience only love and happiness around you.
  • You worry that you are “bothering” others. So, you tend to say,  “Are you mad at me?” or “I am sorry” and “Thank you” more often than anyone else others know. This happens because Earth Angels need to feel their loved ones are ALWAYS connected to them. If not, they feel disturbed.
  • You are not comfortable with your body, particularly your feet. This is because you are not fully grounded as an Earth Angel and so you always have a feeling of “floating” above the earth realm. People close to you often point out, “Where are you gone?” right when you are there because you don’t seem to be actually there with them.
  • You don’t ask anyone for help because you are used to helping and serving others. It confuses you when receiving help (even tiny favors) from others around  – because it is not part of your mission on earth.
  • You tend to always feel insecure in relationships. If some one is holding back, an Earth Angel’s first impulse is to go chasing after them, get an assurance that the person is not angry or upset with them. This often backfires in relationships but Earth Angels do not understand why.
  • Be it as a parent or a professional, you are not competitive. Getting ahead of others has never been your focal point. This is because you want to see everyone win and get an equal chance to succeed. Everything you do stems from a place of love and gratitude that reflect in your actions.
  • You have the power to turn invisible while you are physically present. Most Earth Angels manage all their tasks in the physical world in a very silent way that people don’t even notice them unless the Earth Angels “want” them to.

Earth Angels are constantly nursing and serving the needs of others. So, they take on a lot of toxic energy into themselves. Result – many Earth Angels suffer suicidal tendencies, depression and life-threatening illnesses. Breast cancer is most common among Earth Angels because at the astral level, it represents a serious body-soul lack of love and disconnect.

Don't miss reading Doreen Virtue’s book, “Assertiveness for Earth Angels.” It takes you to a different world altogether – one that probably exists within you and you never really put the jigsaw pieces together to see the whole big picture.

Sounds like an interesting book, Swapna! NOt only good advice on recognizing earth angels but some encouragement and inspiration to become earth angels ourselves. We can all serve, help, give and share more each day even if we aren't quite 100% earth angels yet.

@JK Hadn't heard of the initiative till you mentioned it.

@Vishnu It really is an interesting book and there's a complete series from thereon. I am definitely going to keep reading the series. And I really liked your point about evolving us serving and evolving into Earth Angels. Thanks for sharing your thoughts here, Vishnu.

@Shilpa Garg Glad to know you really liked it. It's quite an exciting book to read.

NGDCs .. Zen Thiruvathira Kali is perhaps based on a Zen styled concept in Kerala called "Aayilyathinu Ara Thiruvathira" .. something like a "Beauty vs Brain" analogy .. in this the girls or women performing Thiruvathira Kali stands leaving a gap for one in between and they instead of clapping the hands with each other do that in the air gap in between .. so some kind of a clapless clap probably into the air gap in between .. So for performing this art the number people required is minimum .. even with a single person Zen Thiruvathira Kali can be performed .. It is said for the right worshippers / devotees of Zen at threshold point, Zen might strike watching Zen Thiruvathira Kali .. :) ..

Thank you for writing this. I am indeed one. I would like to know about Angel powers and which Angels rank above me. I have come across a Very Dark Spirit whom unfortunately recognized me before I him. He strikes just to strike and enjoys the art of attack. Its incredible. He hates as much as I love. I have started taping into my abilities but really need to ramp up quickly. I am sure you will get this msg so immediate reponse is appreciated in advance. Blessings. Yj

I have lost connections with my guild, and ever since I started looking into this and tapping into my abilities, I lose more and more connection. But there's this: the demons get clearer, they say their coming to find me. I know its an extreme risk to post this but I'm worried. Im lower ranked, alone, and defenseless, I'm an earth angel so I'm without my blade. Can someone help?

It is scary knowing there are evil dark forces out there but from my personal experience once I surrendered it all and ask my higher power to please guide me in finding my spiritual purpose and I can't even begin to tell you all the miracles happening in my life right now. You are never defenseless. You just have to lay all your fears aside and really just have faith and trust with all your heart that we will never be given more than we can handle and all that is asked and wanted of this earth is for everything to live in abundant happiness, peace, and share our unconditional love. It could possible be our egos that is showing these signs of darkness according to my research. It's rare to find a truly spiritual being that hasn't been through a great deal of suffering. It's refreshing to see so many likes on these videos about earth Angels. I like I saw 450 something likes compared to 57 dislikes. Nothing absolutely NOTHING happens in God's world by mistake. Since I have Accepted my destiny everything has became so clear. Ideas just keep floating in, I got a new car all by myself for the first time, (I'll be 30 in May), I don't need for anything, got the job I absolutely love back, and the list keeps on going. We are creatures of mother nature and the only reason we had to endure any type of suffering is to show us compassion and give us an understanding of the human mind and how and why it works in different real life situations. It's actual a brilliant idea is you ask me. FEAR has two meanings and I've experienced both first hand. Fear everything and run or Face everything and rise.

Invisible you say... how?
For those of you who believe you are Earth Angels, do keep in mind that the book gives more information than my review. Do read the book first.

@Shaleigh - If this interests you, do read this book.

@Kari - Good to hear from your experience.

@Siriusually - According to Doreen Virtue, this means that they are physically present but able to blend into the crowd or background in such a way that their presence is usually not even noticed unless they try to catch attention.

The Ugly Truth about Caste in Kerala

Many years ago, when I wrote this post on Kerala's caste system, I had not considered that I would receive such online abuse for writing this or that I would be seen as some one who was trying to insult other castes. The intention of writing is always to share an experience or a perspective, not to insult others.  My experience of motherhood and marriage would be different from yours. When I write about my experience, it is illogical to abuse me because our journeys are entirely different narratives. My life and yours are not the same at any given point of time.

My question is - why do you ABUSE any caste or person here? You are free to disagree but why do you ABUSE? How does that reflect on YOU?

In my article, I shared what trials I went through, without any intention to insult any community.A new book 'Ants among Elephants' written by Sujatha Gidla, who writes about herself as being born 'an untouchable in India' teaches you everything you probably want to know abo…

Mahamrityunjaya Mantra: Meaning, Benefit of Chanting and Who can Chant the Mantra

Mahadmrityunjaya Mantra: Benefit of chanting this mantra nee

There are very few mantras that are as powerful as the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra. Do read my post: Does Mahamrityunajaya mantra really work?Of course, it does but you need to undertstand the meaning and significance of the mantra first.
This mantra is believed to have the power to remove all sufferings, diseases and bestow the one who chants it with good health and long life. It is also believed that constant contemplation of the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra can help spiritual aspirants to overcome the cycle of birth and death.
What got me fascinated about this mantra is something personal.  I learned this mantra from my father but it is my maternal grandmother who chanted it all the time and repeatedly told me of its tremendous power to protect. However, I did not chant this mantra regularly. [ Do READ: THE POWER OF LOVE]
But at the age of two, my son was taught some mantras by my mother who explained what it means to him and he becam…

Mumbai Police Movie Review: Prithviraj breaks the typical 'hero' mold, challenges sexual stereotyping

Exploring a completely different dimension in his latest film Mumbai Police, Director Rosshan Anddrews delivers a fast-paced, thriller film after his award winning fims such as Udayananu Tharam, Notebook and others.

To flesh out the script written by Boby Sanjay, Rosshan Anddrews ropes in actors such as Prithviraj, Rahman and Jayasurya to portray three police officers: Antony Moses, Farhan and Aryan respectively.
The story begins with a phone call that Antony Moses (starring Prithviraj) makes to Farhan (starring Rahman) saying that he has solved the murder mystery of Aryan (starring Jayasurya). Just as he says this, there is an accident and Antony Moses loses his memory. From then, Farhan's attempt is to take Antony through people and places that are likely to trigger his memory so that they can solve the murder of their close friend and colleague Aryan. A series of events happen, almost hurtling us towards it.
And I am taking the liberty to hand out trophies for the following:

Power of Love

Love without a price tag, conditions attached or the fine print of debt

At the age of five or six years, I told my Dad that I would never ever opt for an arranged marriage, especially the transactional ''bride seeing'' ceremony, where the bride is paraded around like a fancy showpiece before a bunch of curious strangers, who are more interested in how much gold she is wearing than her IQ.
Dad, being my ever patient, serene hero, just smiled that calm, soothing smile that some of you are already familiar with and he said, ''Sure, that's fine."
I was expecting a full flung family drama, a storm, maybe even being thrown out for the audacity of breaking the much-treasured family tradition. How dare a girl even say such a thing to her parents, right?
Nothing happened. Dad was so cool. Then it struck me - maybe I am adopted. That's why it doesn't matter so much to him.
I did manage to summon the courage and ask Dad several times, "…

Five ways to take charge of your anger

“It is wise to direct your anger towards problems -- not people; to focus your energies on answers -- not excuses.” ― William Arthur Ward
Every day, the newspaper headlines are full of scary stories of people killing each other over trivial things - mostly these incidents happen when individuals lose their temper and turn violent. In traffic jams across Noida in the evenings, people don't hesitate to walk out and hit each other.  At workplaces, colleagues lose their temper and say things that they regret later. During holidays with loved ones, small things set us off and we say things that damage relationships forever. No one stops anyone. Everyone likes a big, bad fight. It's great to vent. After all, what's the big deal about getting angry? After all, if you cannot express what pisses you off, how can you call yourself human?

Does anger solve your problems? You know the answer!

If anger solved all the problems in the world, this world would have been a perfect place centur…

Book Review: Mini Sukumaran Nair's B3/703, Gulmohar Park portrays a haunting descent into the vulnerability of childhood

There are books that blaze into your thoughts and here's a book that definitely stayed within me even after weeks of reading it, With its blazing red flower cover, Mini Sukumaran Nair's novel B3/703, Gulmohar Park, caught my attention in a bookshop. As a child, I grew up reading the books of Enid Blyton, RK Narayan and Anita Desai. Mini Sukumaran Nair's refreshing narrative brought back bittersweet memories of those growing up years. Right from the first page, I felt like I could curl up with this heartwarming novel. And just in case you are wondering, this isn't a novel that was sent to me for review nor do I know the author or its publisher. I just loved the book, that's it!

This heartwarming tale of childhood, family drama and tragic upheavals is narrated from the perspective of a little girl called Madhura, whose mother Vani is a maid in the home of an affluent Punjabi family and later on, through the perspective of her mother's employers, Avantika and Siris…

Book Review: When the Chief fell in Love by Tuhin A Sinha portrays second chances and forbidden love in Kashmir

Tuhin A Sinha's novel, When the Chief Fell in Love plays upon second chances to bring two of the most unlikely individuals to come into each other lives, with a big 'political' bang! In life and in love, second chances are rare, more so when two individuals who are married to others, fall in love with each other. The consequences are unlikely to be happy but this love story demolishes conventional myths in the typical love story narratives we often read.

Seen through the eyes of lovers, there can be no greater paradise than Kashmir, which is why India's youngest Defence Minister Vihaan finally comes back to solve problems of a troubled state that is rife with political disturbances.

Given the violent times we live in, imagine the perils of a love story that involves the country's Defence Minister and the daughter of a separatist leader.  It sounds inconceivable. And that is exactly the myth the young Defence Minister Vihaan strives to demolish in his journeys to Kas…

Meaning of Maha Shivaratri: Significance of Tripurandaka, Vibhuti and Gangaajal

Maha Shivaratri is a festival of great spiritual significance to Hindus. Prayers are undertaken by devotees throughout the night. Yet how many of us understand what makes it a holy occasion? It doesn't have anyt marketing jazz or feel-great frenzy to it like many other festivals. Yet Maha Shivaratri is one of the most spiritually powerful festivals you just shouldn't miss.
According to Hindu scriptures, observing night long prayer has been declared by Lord Shiva himself. This is cited as His answer when Parvati Devi asked him which rituals performed by his devotees pleases him most. It is also believed that those who observe Maha Shivratri correctly will be greatly blessed and that they will attain moksha.

Here are some interesting points to explain the spiritual significance of Maha Shivaratri, .taken from various discourses rendered by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
1. Shiva means 'auspiciousness.' Maha Shivaratri should be spent in the constant contemplation of God.

2. A…
